one, two........♥

Today is my Nephew Nathan's birthday.....
He is two years old today.
He love's my cupcakes.

His smile is contagious. ♥
Even when he's naughty.
You can't help but laugh at him.
Future heart breaker...I mean really! look at those eyes!
I made him an Elmo cupcake for his birthday.
Someday he's going to either hate me for this tutu picture,
or laugh about it with me. ♥
I think the cutest thing ever was
when I went to Japan for 2 months...
When I came back home, and walked through the door
he got so excited that his legs started moving before he did!
Then when I was unpacking he kept sitting in my suitcase like
he thought I was going to leave again,
and if I was he was coming with!
Happy Birthday to one of the silliest little boys I know,
my life wouldn't be the same without you.
I love you! ♥

smells like Christmas spirit!

Yesterday my house was filled with yummy smells that reminded me of nothing less than the fact that it's almost Christmas, & I have yet to make a dent in all the Christmas shopping I need to do...

Of course I was baking away at my three new Christmas cupcakes, that were just as yummy as they smelled.

Candy Cane, because who doesn't want to take a
trip through the candy cane forest?

Ginger bread, I like to call them my ginger babies just
because they have little ginger bread cookies on top
of them that are just too little to be men (:

Eggnog, yes I put eggnog in to a cupcake, & it was AMAZING!

I even gave away free cupcakes today at the mall,
because Christmas is all about giving!

 ♥♥♥♥♥

I'm even in such a giving mood,
that I will share my eggnog cupcake recipe with you.
Aren't I so nice?

Eggnog cupcakes

    ♥ 1 1/4 cup cake flour
    ♥ 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
    ♥ 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    ♥ 1/4 teaspoon salt
♥ 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
    ♥  3/4 cup sugar
♥ 1 large egg, room temperature
♥ 1 large egg yolk, room temperature
    ♥ 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    ♥ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
♥ 2/3 cup eggnog, room temperature

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a medium-size bowl and set aside.
In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
On low speed add the egg and yolk one at a time.
Beat in oil and vanilla until incorporated.
Gradually and add the flour mixture and eggnog, alternating between the 2, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.

Distribute all of the batter evenly between the 12 baking cups.
Bake for 15-18 minutes

You can frost them with whatever frosting you want to, but I frosted mine with a cream cheese frosting with 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg added to it (:

Well let the Christmas countdown begin!

V.I.T.C. ♥

A lovely little girl named Hallie not only asked me to go with her to V.I.P. day at her school, but she also asked me to make her cupcakes......& not just any cupcakes.

Pink...

Sparkly.......

TURKEY CUPCAKES!

I like to call these cupcakes V.I.T.C. VERY important turkey cupcakes. Because the turkeys must be pretty important if they get to be covered in glitter, right? When I was finished making them even I was covered in glitter! I felt like a fairy, a cupcake fairy ♥ who should be able to fly; fly far, far away to a land of cupcakes, and all things shiny, sparkly, and yummy!

eeeeeeep!

I think they turned out adorable! ♥
All the kids at Hallie's school didn't want to eat them because they were too pretty!

Ooooh!
I even....
PUT ONE ON A STICK.
Like a cakepop!
Or...
A TURKEYPOP! (:
The little boy who I gave it to, his mom told me that
he ate the head off, and laughed evilly! bwahahahaha ♥
